Buy More AI Poll Credits Without Changing Your Plan
Ran out of AI credits mid-deck? One-time credit packs top up your monthly quota without a new plan. How they work, what they cost and when Pro fits better.
You are halfway through building a deck and Pulse AI says you are out of credits for the month. Upgrading to Pro is one answer, but if you like your current plan and just need a few more drafts, AI credit packs are the other. They are one-time purchases that add extra credits to your workspace without changing your subscription tier. A deck costs 1 credit per 5 slides.
What counts as an AI generation
Build with Pulse AI spends credits when it writes a deck: 1 credit per 5 slides. Asking Pulse AI a question uses a separate monthly allowance and does not touch those credits. Template decks are free.
Free teaser: 2 per month
Every workspace on Free gets 2 AI credits a month. A deck costs 1 credit per 5 slides, so that is enough to try a real quiz before you pay. Pro and Premium include a larger monthly quota; when that runs out, packs are how you keep going without upgrading.
The two packs
- Starter: $5 one-time for 20 generations
- Plus: $15 one-time for 80 generations
- No expiry: credits sit on the workspace until used
- Monthly quota first: your plan allowance is always spent before pack credits
How to buy
Open Studio → Billing & Plan
Sign in and open Studio → Billing & Plan. The AI section shows monthly quota remaining and any packs already on the workspace.
Choose Starter or Plus
Pick the pack that matches how many drafts you need. Starter ($5/20) suits a single deck push; Plus ($15/80) suits a busy week of prep.
Generate as usual
Open Studio and choose Build with Pulse AI. The card suggests topics other people are building and rotates them, so the same account does not see the same ideas every visit. The system spends your monthly quota first, then draws from pack credits. The Build button shows the cost, 1 credit per 5 slides, before anything is spent.

Refunds on unused packs
An unused pack (no generations spent from it) can be refunded from Studio → Billing & Plan inside the normal cooling-off window. Once any credit from a pack is used, that pack is not refundable. Monthly quota does not roll over; pack credits do not expire until spent.
When upgrading still makes sense
If you hit the quota every month, Pro ($8/mo annual) includes a much larger monthly allowance plus 100 live participants, API access, and exports. Premium adds branding and 500 live. Packs are for occasional bursts, not a substitute for a plan that never fits.
