1. Who runs PollsLive
Your contract is with A Plus Apps, trading as PollsLive, established in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (KvK 42117052, VAT NL005506889B28). Statutory details are in our Legal Notice, and the terms for organisations are summarised in our Business Terms.
2. Where your data lives
Our application and database are hosted in the European Union. Some providers, such as our network and security provider, our payment processor and our AI provider, process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Every provider, what it handles and where, is on our Sub-processors page. Participants never need an account, and names are optional.
3. Policies and agreements
These apply to every workspace and can be read and downloaded without signing in:
- Data Processing Agreement (GDPR Article 28): applies automatically, with 48-hour breach notice and 30 days' notice of new sub-processors.
- Privacy Policy, including what we collect from participants.
- Students & Schools Privacy Notice for teachers, schools and parents.
- How PollsLive uses AI: which features use AI, what is sent, and what AI is never used for.
- Acceptable Use Policy, including how we handle reports and appeals under the Digital Services Act.
4. Security and reliability
Our Security page describes how we protect the service, from encryption in transit to abuse prevention. Live and recent incidents are on our status page. To report a vulnerability, follow the policy in our security.txt.
5. Accessibility
Our Accessibility Statement records how PollsLive is tested against WCAG, what has been fixed and which barriers we know about.
6. Certifications
PollsLive does not hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification yet, and we do not have an independent penetration-test report or a VPAT yet. We would rather tell you that than imply otherwise. If your evaluation needs one of these, tell us: it helps us decide what to do first.
7. Procurement requests
For a countersigned Data Processing Agreement, answers to a security questionnaire, or anything else your evaluation needs, email legal@pollslive.com. We reply within 5 business days. Organisations can also ask to pay an annual plan by invoice and bank transfer: tell us the organisation's name and address, its VAT number, the plan, how many presenters and the start date.
