Wedding Games for Guests: Live Crowd Games, No App
Get guests playing instead of scrolling: couple trivia, live polls and message walls for a wedding or party, joined by QR code with no app to install.
The gap between dinner and dancing can feel alive or awkward. Phones are coming out either way, so point them all at the same screen for a few minutes of shared fun, then put them away. A couple of quick games gets tables that have never met laughing together.
A few crowd-pleasers
- "How well do you know the couple?" trivia: a timed quiz with a leaderboard. The competitive uncle will not let this go, and that's the point.
- Guess-the-baby-photo or how-they-met multiple choice between courses.
- A message word cloud: "One word for the happy couple" builds a live wall of well-wishes on the big screen.
- A quick poll to settle the fun stuff: first dance song, who cries first, beach or mountains for the honeymoon.
The gap between dinner and dancing
The "how well do you know the couple?" round is the one that gets tables who have never met laughing at the same answers. The competitive uncle, predictably, will not let it go:
Where did Sam & Alex have their first date?
Then a message word cloud built a live wall of well-wishes on the big screen, one word per guest, while the room watched it fill:
One word for the happy couple
That is three minutes of everyone looking at the same screen and laughing: exactly the bridge between sitting and dancing, and grandma plays without downloading anything.
Why no-login is non-negotiable here
Wedding guests span every age and comfort level with tech. Asking grandma to download an app is a non-starter. Everyone, from the teenagers to the great-aunts, just scans a QR and they're in, no account, no install. The host sets it up once; guests do nothing but play.
The goal isn't more screen time at the party. It's three minutes of everyone looking at the same screen, laughing, then back to the dance floor.

Tip
Keep rounds to 6-8 questions: guests want to dance, not sit through a 20-question marathon.
