Frequently asked questions
What is online voting?
Online voting is collecting and counting choices over the internet instead of by show of hands or paper. People vote from their own phone or laptop and the tally updates automatically. With PollsLive, voters join by link, code, or QR — no app and no account.
Can online voting be anonymous?
Yes. PollsLive does not attach a name to a ballot by default, so votes stay anonymous. It still prevents double-voting using device fingerprint and cookie rate limits, so you get one-person-one-vote behaviour without forcing anyone to sign in.
Is there a free online voting tool?
Yes. You can run real votes on the PollsLive free plan (3 published polls, 500 responses each) with no account required to create one. Pro removes the limits at a flat price with no per-seat fee.
How do people join a vote?
Share a link, a short 6-character code, or a QR. Voters open it on any device and tap their choice — there is nothing to install and no login.
