Free classroom tool
Random name picker and group maker
Paste your class list, spin the wheel and let it choose. Switch on no repeats so every student gets a turn before the wheel resets, put it full screen on the projector, or open the Groups tab to split the list into fair teams in one tap. It also picks a random number or a yes or no. Nothing is uploaded: the list stays in this browser.
Names stay in this browser. Nothing you type here is uploaded. For a raffle with a public, checkable record use the prize draw picker.

Frequently asked questions
Is the pick really random?
Yes. The wheel lands on a slot chosen by the browser's random number generator before it starts spinning; the animation only shows the result. Every name has the same chance on every spin.
How does no repeats work?
With no repeats on, a picked name is removed from the wheel after each spin, so a class of 25 gets 25 different picks. Switch it off to keep every name in play, or use the history line to see who was picked.
Can I make random groups?
Yes. The Groups tab shuffles the list and deals the names out evenly into a number of groups you choose, or into groups of a size you choose. Copy the result to paste into a slide or chat.
Is my list stored anywhere?
Only in your own browser, so it is there when you come back on the same device. Nothing leaves your device. Clear the list to remove it.
What about a prize draw with a public record?
For raffles and giveaways where people want proof, use the prize draw picker: it publishes a checkable commitment before the draw and shows the winner full screen.
