Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. It counts from the clock, not from screen updates, so the remaining time stays correct when the tab is in the background. The page title shows the time left so you can see it from another tab.

Can I turn the sound off?

Yes. Untick Chime and the timer ends silently with the display turning green. The chime is three short tones at a moderate volume.

What are the keyboard shortcuts?

Space starts or pauses, R resets to the last time you set, and F toggles full screen. Escape leaves full screen.

How do teachers use it with live polls?
