Dutch flashcards: essential A1-A2 words
228 everyday Dutch words grouped by situation: greetings, numbers and time, shopping, home and family, work and school, transport, health and weather. Every noun shows its article, because de or het is what most learners get wrong. Flip the cards, switch direction, mark what you know, or test yourself in quiz mode. Teachers can download the deck as a CSV or print the list.

Frequently asked questions
Who are these flashcards for?
Beginners at CEFR A1 to A2: newcomers to the Netherlands and Flanders, international students, people preparing for the inburgering exam, and NT2 teachers who want a ready-made vocabulary set for the first weeks.
Why learn the most common words first?
A small core vocabulary covers most of everyday Dutch. These words are the ones you hear at the supermarket, the station, the doctor and work, so you can use them the same day.
Does it save my progress?
Words you mark as known are saved in your browser only, so they are still marked when you come back on the same device. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I use this in my classroom?
Yes. Download the CSV to import into any flashcard app, print the word list, or run the words as a live quiz where students answer from their phones and the class result shows on the screen.
