Workspaces & Teams
A workspace is the shared environment where your team creates polls, manages results, and configures integrations. Invite teammates, assign roles, and control access - all from Studio.
What is a workspace?
Every PollsLive account belongs to one primary workspace. Your workspace owns:
- All polls created by any member
- API keys, OAuth clients, and webhook endpoints
- The billing subscription and plan
- Member roster and role assignments
Polls are shared across all workspace members - an Editor who creates a poll can be edited by another Admin on the same workspace.
Roles & permissions
PollsLive uses four roles in descending privilege order:

The first account to sign up becomes the Owner. Ownership can be transferred in Studio → Members.
Inviting members
Go to Studio → Members → Invite. Enter the recipient's email and choose their role. They'll receive an email with a secure invite link valid for 7 days.
- If the invitee already has a PollsLive account, they join immediately on accept.
- New users are prompted to create an account during the accept flow.
- Pending invites are listed under Pending invitations and can be revoked.

Attempting to invite a member beyond the seat limit returns a 402 response with an upgrade message. Manage members in Studio → Members and upgrade at Studio → Billing.
Team collaboration
Pro workspaces include up to 10 seats, so your team can build and manage polls together. The Studio editor is built on a conflict-free real-time foundation (Y.js CRDT), with live multi-editor co-editing rolling out to Pro workspaces.
Guest editors (non-members) are not supported - all collaborators must be workspace members.
Audit log
Every significant action - poll created/published/deleted, member invited/removed, API key created/revoked, OAuth client created - is recorded in the workspace audit log.
Enterprise plan: audit logs are available in the Admin panel and via the API. Pro plan: logs are retained for 30 days. Free plan: no audit log access.
